The SQ-Pro Steam Quality Test Apparatus was developed to enable test engineers to provide reliable and efficient testing to EN 285 requirements without the need for bulky or difficult to use equipment. Steam Quality Testing has been an EU requirement for many years (ISO EN 285) and has been adopted by the world's pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
Conforming to EN 285 and EN 867-3, the Bowie-Dick Test is a diagnostic visual test performed to ensure the dynamic-air-removal system (Vacuum system) of a steam sterilizer is effective in removing any air that may be trapped or leaked into the sterilization chamber.
EN 285 requires that, before use, the Standard Test Packs be compressed by hand, wrapped in a similar fabric and secured with tape that is no more than 25 mm wide. The Standard Test Pack Wrap turns this fiddly and frequent operation into a simple and easy-to-use procedure. The STP Wrap is designed for use with the EN 285 Standard Test Pack.
Sheet size 120cm x 90cm. The sheets are made from 100% bleached cotton sheets. 38 are supplied to enable a pack to be formed. The towels should be washed to remove dressing before being used as required by EN 285: 2006, 24.1.
